WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN NETWORKING

WOW! When I had the idea to bring women together in our local community to just show one another love and support I had no idea the amazingness that would transpire.

HOW DID IT START?

The first order of business was raising the courage to run the idea by peers that I know and trust for their amazing leadership. I took a deep breath and called each community leader one by one and asked if they would like to be involved. Take a look at those powerhouse community supporters....

SCCF- Debbie + Andrew

THEN WHAT HAPPENED?

Well, you guessed it! They all said YES!

Greg + Sarah from the SDDA jumped in to start the planning process with me and immediately thought of the perfect venue. After a swift walk to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library + Museum, we were on our way to empowering women to come together for a night of fun!

TIME FOR INVITATIONS

Without hesitation, the team spits out ideas on how we wanted women to know this was an event for all. We quickly placed the event online the printed hand invitations for businesses we knew were not on social media. It was also important to me and the team to focus on women who may not have even started their business yet. Why you ask? Because when you start a business you need an army of supporters.

Once the Invitations went out support is exactly what happened. Local businesses from all around started donating giveaways and Amanda Shrader Photography volunteered to come and complete free headshots for anyone who wanted one! Even more fun she decided to bring her 50 skirts to help women tell their stories.

WHAT DID THE NIGHT BRING?

For me, it brought an immense sense of comfort knowing that women from all backgrounds were willing to come to an event that was purely to support and love another business owner. Stories were shared over handmade El Salvadorian drinks and hearts were connected around the round table filled with appetizers. These moments wouldn't have been possible without the donations provided by Baja Bean Co + Glorias's Pupuseria.

THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON WHO CAME TO THIS EVENT AND MADE IT SUCH A HUGE SUCCESS!
