Getting Dirty with Volcanic Bentonite!

Let’s get dirty with Volcanic Bentonite Clay! As an Esthetician (written by Carrie/ Skin Coach in Training) this clay has become one of my favorites because of how versatile it is. In many cultures it has been known as the “healing clay” that helps cleanse the body. Bentonite is very resourceful because you can use this internally and externally. That’s right this clay is eatable! It comes from aged volcanic ash and the largest source comes from right here in the US, Fort Benton, Wyoming. How awesome is that?! There are two types of Bentonite, sodium and calcium! When using Sodium it absorbs impurities and toxins from the body, and leaves behind sodium in its place. This acts as a natural electrolyte and hydrates the skin! We love using this in our rapid results facial services due to it working on oily/acne skin so quickly!

Calcium Bentonite when wet is like a magnet causing a really strong electric charge. This charge is so strong it can remove fluoride from water! When it sucks out impurities it leaves behind calcium, this is often compared to magnesuim and potassium. This form of Bentonite is great for internal use.
